First Nebraska Science Festival is smashing success

2014 event will be held April 24-27

The first-ever Nebraska Science Festival was a huge success with thousands of people attending  a wide variety of science-related activities at a dozen or more sites in and around Omaha.

One of the highlights of the inaugural event was “The Dancing Scientist,” a Ph.D. student in biochemistry at UCLA by the name of Jeffrey Vinokur.

The Dancing Scientist gave multiple performances at the Durham Museum and wowed hundreds of people at every performance.

Event coordinator Kacie Gerard of UNMC Public Relations called the event an overwhelming success.

She said the 2014 Nebraska Science Festival will be held April 24-27. Mark your calendar!
