The Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute in the College of Public Health is accepting applications for the 2013-2014 session. In its ninth year, the institute boasts 150 graduates.
What: The institute is a year-long program designed to strengthen leadership for the public’s health in the Great Plains region.
The program includes:
- Three on-site sessions;
- Monthly distance education; and
- An applied project for integrated learning.
Who: The program is designed for senior and emerging leaders in organizations that aim to improve the health and well-being of populations and communities. Applicants from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and South Dakota and beyond are welcome.
Grant funding is available to support a limited number of stipends for accepted scholars from local and state health departments and other public health organizations.
When: The institute kicks off year nine on Sept. 24, and the deadline to apply for the 2013-2014 session is June 14.
