Decreasing the Donor Deficit is Feb. 19 Schwartz Grand Rounds

A panel of health care providers, students, patients and caregivers will talk about “Decreasing the Donor Deficit” at the Schwartz Grand Rounds, Feb. 19, at noon in the Sorrell Center, Room 2018.

Decreasing the Donor Deficit is one of the student-run programs through the Service Learning Academy, College of Public Health. The program works to raise awareness to cancer treatment by bone marrow transplantation and the recruitment of new donors.

Panelists will provide personal stories about how the bone marrow transplant program has made a difference in their lives. Lunch will be provided to the first 65 attendees
