Below is a list of achievements, activities and happenings involving UNMC staff, faculty and students.

UNMC recently welcomed new students in the Biomedical Research Training Program (BRTP), the M.D./Ph.D. Scholars Program and the UNMC/China Joint M.D./Ph.D. program.

Marvin Cunningham, a UNL student and son of UNMC’s Linda Cunningham, displays the research poster he made during his Summer Undergraduate Research Program experience at UNMC.
The new BRTP students are:

New M.D./Ph.D. scholars are:

  • Bang Chen Wang.

The M.D./Ph.D. Scholars Program also welcomed two UNMC second-year medical students, Brian Coburn and Robert Weir, who entered the program through the M.D./Ph.D. Alternative Pathway Program.

Meanwhile, Chinese student Yu Cai has arrived on campus to participate in the joint UNMC/Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine M.D./Ph.D. program.

The Midwestern Global Health Conference will be held at UNMC on Saturday, Sept. 8. The conference is for students, residents, faculty and staff in the health professions, students of pre-med, pre-dentistry and anyone interested in global health. Learn more about the conference online.

Sixty-two students from the Summer Undergraduate Research Program last week wrapped up their summer work as they presented research posters to the campus.
