A tale of extraordinary care

Jesse was born with the odds stacked against him.

His mother had abused drugs.

He was born with serious medical conditions; doctors were unsure whether he’d ever walk or even sit up on his own.

He was fed through a tube in his belly.

One of his nurses in The Nebraska Medical Center’s newborn intensive care unit formed a special bond with him. And when she heard foster families were having a difficult time caring for Jesse, Jill Grier-Pajerski, his former nurse stepped forward.

Watch the video to learn more about Jill and Jesse’s tale.
