The time for the “UNMC Walks to the Olympics” opening ceremony has been adjusted to 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
The ceremony will feature brief comments and then a kick-off lap around the east campus academic area so everyone can get their pedometers working.
The opening ceremonies for the UNMC walks to the Olympics challenge are Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza. |
Pedometer info
Speaking of pedometers, they are now on sale in the Center for Healthy Living. They also will be on sale in the student plaza before Friday’s ceremony starting about 10:30 a.m.
Pedometers cost $10. The Accupsplit CW 140-XLTM pedometers are valued at $35 but the health promotion department will cost share to provide employees a lower rate. Employees can only purchase two pedometers each.
