Grant brings iPads to McGoogan

Find apps. Access online journals. Make presentations.

These are just a few services McGoogan librarians can assist you with thanks to a new grant designed to help librarians adopt new technology and demonstrate its use to campus and employees.

A team of four medical librarians and a faculty member in the College of Public Health were among 48 in the Midwest region to receive iPads as part of a grant from the MidContinental Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.

“It is vital that we keep learning and sharing new technologies and resources of interest to the faculty, staff and students,” said Marie Reidelbach, associate director of McGoogan Library of Medicine.

The “iTest iPad Project” will run from Feb. 27 through April 30.

During that time, McGoogan Library will share information resources and tips through Mobile Monday posts to a McGoogan Library Guide, the McGoogan Library blog and the McGoogan Facebook page.

See the sidebar for the schedule of “Mobile Monday” posts.
