What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

The people I work with and the relationships that have been formed — personal and professional.

Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

Working together — I have been privileged to have worked for two different departments at the CON. First, I worked in the dean’s office for five years. Then two years ago started working for academic programs. I use my knowledge and skills from both positions on a daily basis. In both positions, I have worked with faculty and staff. In the dean’s office it was being a resource. In academic programs it’s working with faculty and staff as a team to resolve course, curriculum and room scheduling issues.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I went to Germany for two and half months after graduating from high school. I’m very lucky I got to visit both Paris and Prague.
  • My husband, Scot (yes with one t), and I purchased our home from my mom which happens to be the house I grew up in. It’s the Midwest thing to do.
  • I have two awesome sons, Zach, 15, and Andrew, 9.

It's always nice to hear a success "story" about a fellow Iowan. Hubby & I have dreamed of moving to small-town Iowa some day, and have house hunted in several of the beautiful small towns.
