The Husker Hombre says Michigan State has no prayer, including a Hail Mary, against Nebraska this weekend. (Peggy Cain, College of Dentistry)
Prayers and miracles, including the Hail Mary, won’t work for Michigan State this weekend as the Spartans visit Lincoln, says the Husker Hombre.

And based on the past few weeks, you may do well to listen to The Hombre, otherwise known as dentistry student Paul Favela.

Three weeks ago he correctly picked a high-scoring NU victory against Ohio State and last week he predicted that Husker wide receiver Kenny Bell would have a big day against Minnesota. Both of which came to pass.

Beth Conover attended both Wisconsin and Michigan State and says her respective alma maters will be 2-0 against Nebraska at the end of this weekend.
Below the Hombre gives his full take on Saturday’s Husker-Spartan game, as does Beth Conover, a certified genetic counselor in the Munroe-Meyer Institute and Michigan State alum.

The Hombre says, “Michigan’s ‘Little Brother’ doesn’t seem so little after last week’s crazy finish. On the other hand, the Huskers’ confidence should be at a season high following their performance in Minnesota. Nevertheless be prepared to sit through the most nail-biting four quarters of the season. Husker fans will have to do their best to keep the energy high on Saturday, so be ready to get loud. Crowd momentum and an established running game will be the keys to the game. The Hail Mary won’t work this week.” NU 28, Michigan State 24

Conover says, “Aside from going to undergraduate school at Michigan State, I went to Wisconsin for my graduate degree. I sense that both my alma maters will cream the Huskers, which makes my sons sad because they both go to UNL.” Michigan State 28, NU 17
