A farewell reception for Dennis Robinson, Ph.D., chairman of the department of pharmaceutical sciences, will be Thursday at 4 p.m. in the College of Pharmacy Commons.

He joined the faculty in 1986 as an assistant professor in the department of pharmaceutical sciences and later served as an associate professor and interim chairman.
He was appointed chairman of the department of pharmaceutical sciences in 2003.
He will soon return to his native New Zealand.
Dear Dennis :
I wish you all the best and congratulate you with the exemplary service to UNMC, COP and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I am personally very thankful to you in infinite ways starting from recruiting me at UNMC, reading my first and successful grant application, supporting my path every step of the way from associate professor to slightly more, sticking together in difficult times, helping my associates to establish themselves as faculty, building up CDDN and COBRE, and finally sorting out most recent issues arising from my Megagrant in Russia. All was incredible but most valuable perhaps was an ability to come to your office and have a sincere, friendly conversation about all matters that were of concern to you or me. This is priceless. Thank you so much. On your reception I am exiled in Japan – not too far from New Zealand by the way. But my heart is with you and those who celebrate your achievements. Warm regards, my Friend.
Dr. Robinson. Thank you for your years of service and dedication. You represented the College of Pharmacy for many years on the UNMC Safety Committee and helped to make UNMC a safer and better place for everyone. Best wishes as you return home.
I just wanted to say thank you for the guidance and opportunities you gave me during my time there. It was very enjoyable and I was glad to get to know you. I wanted to wish you good luck in New Zealand (although it is no Australia). Thank you, good luck and all the best!
I echo Sasha's words – you have been an outstanding Chair of our department. Thank you for all that you have done to move the department forward. I wish you all the best as you head back to New Zealand!

Congratulations on your retirement. Your guidance has been invaluable through my grad school life and beyond. Elements of your personality have been hardwired into me. I wish you the very best as you enjoy fishing in the pristine waters of NZ.
Dr. Robinson. I wanted to thank you for all your support through out. I thoroughly enjoyed all the conversations we had. Though we will miss you badly here at the department, as someone, who was always available for us, I hope you have wonderful times ahead back home.

I wish you well in your new adventures in your native New Zealand. I was a pharmacy student in one of your pharmaceutical sciences classes in the mid-1990s. You were serious and had high expectations of us, but when we lived up to them you gave us your respect. I am proud to have had you as my professor. Thank-you and good luck.
