Employees and students of The Nebraska Medical Center, UNMC, and UNMC Physicians are invited to register for free plein air pastel art classes.
When: The classes, which are offered as part of the medical center’s partnership with the Joslyn Art Museum, will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday’s in June starting June 7.
Where: The Sorrell Center Student Plaza (Lied Rooms 1, 2 and 3 are back up rooms if weather is inclement).
What: In the spirit of plein air painters, experience pastel drawing outdoors. Learn to layer, combine color and draw from observation as you capture the landscape around the Student Plaza with pastels as your medium.
Who: Ron Sykes will instruct the class and all materials are provided.
