The campus community is invited to attend an April 16 seminar in the in Durham Research Center II Commons Area on intellectual property (IP) and licensing.

The seminar will cover:
- IP basics — patents, trademarks, know-how, and trade secrets;
- Smart strategies for creating, organizing, managing and securing IP assets;
- Commercialization — bringing IP to market;
- Royalties and ideas for maximizing IP value and making money; and
- A licensing game with an interactive deal negotiation.
A limited number of student and postdoc scholarships are available through UNeMed. In addition to breakfast and lunch, students and postdocs also will receive a one-year membership in LES.
The cost to attend the seminar is:
