Education is one of the four pillars of UNMC’s mission and our students are the lifeblood of that aspect of campus life.

What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?
Dr. (Bruce) Buehler’s invitation to participate in his genetics clinic at any time.
Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.
For my leadership project, I had the pleasure of working with Terri Mathews, Ph.D., who is developing social skills training for children on the austism spectrum and their parents. Dr. Mathews provided the vision for this project, displayed leadership in guiding our group and was a valuable resource throughout my training experience.
List three things people may not know about you.
- Instead of making New Year’s resolutions every year, my husband and I, and our two children have created a “Laugh Box.” Throughout the year, we document funny things or situations that have made us laugh and put them in the box. On Jan. 1, we open the box and read aloud all of the silly things that happened over the course of that year. It’s a wonderfully positive way to start out the new year and reminds us of what fun it is to be a family.
- I have played the violin for more than 30 years.
- I love Dr. Pepper.
The Laugh Box sounds like an awesome idea. I would suggest that Kristin get in touch with someone at UNeMed.
