UNMC Human Resources launches its spring sessions for the Learn@Lunch Series on Feb.16.
The series sessions are as follows:
- Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 11:30 a.m. — Patique Collins, president of Right Step Consulting, will present “Effective Communication.” Collins will help you learn to better relate to co-workers, hone communication skills to build positive work relationships and discuss ways to develop interpersonal skills and flexibility.
- Wednesday, March 16 at 11:30 a.m. — Consultant Angela Galloway will present “Heighten Your Influence through Listening.” She will help you improve your listening skills and show how you can influence any conversation just through listening.
- Thursday, April 28 at 11:30 a.m. — Patrick Friman, Ph.D., director of clinical services at Boys Town and clinical professor of pediatrics at UNMC, will present “Understanding and Working through Conflict.” Dr. Friman will discuss several topics including the nature of conflicts and how dealing with them presents opportunities to grow psychologically, emotionally and socially.
Lunch will be provided to the first 150 participants to attend each session. Preregistration is required and can be completed online.
