Aaron Davis

Aaron Davis — a sought after motivational speaker with keen insights into human potential and teamwork — will deliver a commemorative address on the UNMC campus on Monday to honor slain civil rights leader, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

It’s vital to remember Dr. King’s legacy because his tireless efforts and sacrifices for civil rights are why we all enjoy some of the liberties we have today.

What does his dream mean to you?

Dr. King’s dream to me represents freedom, responsibility and a constant reminder that I must continue to cultivate and foster those characteristics that he fought and eventually died for.

What is one thing we can do to help make his dream a reality?

One thing that each of us can do to continue to help make his dream a reality is to take personal responsibility for creating a culture of equality and freedom.
