Spirit Week 2010 – Spirit lunch and challenge today

Make sure to head over to the Sorrell Center Truhlsen Campus Events Center today at 11:30 a.m. for the Spirit Week Lunch and Spirit Challenge.

UNMC’s Frozen Four After three hours and eight games, four teams have emerged as semifinalists in the inaugural Spirit Week Student Broomball Tournament. Tournament action resumes today at 4 p.m. The championship game starts at 4:50 p.m. Come out to the rink this afternoon to see what team takes home the “Golden Broom.”

UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., will make comments at noon and the Spirit Challenge will start shortly thereafter.

If you want to register a team for the challenge, you have until 10 a.m. to do so.

The first place winner in the spirit challenge gets:

• A $200 gift card purchased by BlueCross and BlueShield of Nebraska to a business of the winner’s choosing; and
  
• A $30 pizza gift card.

Second-place wins:

• A gift package from Midtown Crossing — worth more than $125 — that includes ice scrapers, coffee mugs and gift cards to Midtown Crossing businesses.

Show up early and be ready to answer UNMC-related trivia questions to win cool door prizes, including gifts from
