The free, full-day workshop starts at 8 a.m. and will be dedicated to issues related to the care and use of animals in the academic research and teaching environment.
To register or for questions, contact Pearl Sorensen at psorense@unmc.edu.
All UNMC investigators are invited to attend.
“I would strongly encourage our investigators to attend this workshop as it will feature very valuable information that can help and protect them in their work with animals,” said Tom Rosenquist, Ph.D., vice chancellor for research.
Notable national and local speakers will provide important insight into institutional responsibility, new federal guidelines and threats to the use of animals in research.
