Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.” Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Tara Enck, graphic designer in the print shop.
Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Tara:
Tara Enck |
- I took 16 years of dance lessons starting at age 2 and have only missed one recital.
- I am engaged to be married in April of 2011 to a wonderful man I met while in college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, but lost track of after graduation. We reconnected on the UNMC campus where we both work.
- My best solo adventure was spending a week in New York City giving myself guided tours while my cousin was at work. I visited Ground Zero, the Empire State Building, Central Park, The Museum of Modern Art, Wall Street, The Guggenheim, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center, Time Square and the street dancers at South Street Seaport. After all that, I only managed to take 592 photos.
- I have a little rubber duck that I like to use as the subject of my photographs on my adventures since I can’t be in all of the photos. Sadly, my rubber duck has been to more countries than I have, but I definitely plan on catching up.
- One of my favorite places to be (besides working at UNMC) is with my extended family of 25-plus at our lake house in western Nebraska. It has been in our family for four generations, spanning more than 50 years and will hopefully continue for many more. It is a good mix of relaxation and crazy family fun!
Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
