Fred Wilson, who survived the 2007 shootings at Von Maur, and Joann Schaefer, M.D., Nebraska’s chief medical officer and a liver transplant survivor, will be keynote speakers at the 13th Omaha Women’s Health & Wellness Conference on Oct. 1.
Deborah Darrington, M.D., UNMC assistant professor of internal medicine and director of a cancer survivorship clinic, also will present a main discussion on getting back to normal life after having cancer.

Where: The Mid-America Center, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Who: The conference is open to the public.
