Below is an update from UNMC Facilities Management and Planning about construction in the 40th Street area.
- Because of the fast pace of construction, portions of 40th Street south of Emile Street are obstructed because of utility manhole work. This will continue for another two weeks.
- The work north of Emile Street on 40th Street will cause the street to remain closed until further notice.
- Landscaping work in the green space between the Center for Nursing Science, the Sorrell Center, the Harold M. and Beverly Maurer Center for Public Health and the Student Life Center will continue until about mid-September.
- The tower base for the student plaza art feature will be constructed during the last weeks of August with the tower construction the first part of October.
