What stood out about your tour of UNMC?
The long term planning and strategy in terms of the construction of the new facilities. It’s very impressive how each area was designed to facilitate specific functions.
What are the biggest health care issues that face the state and how do you see UNMC helping the state confront these issues?
Health care reform and its impact on the system presents many unknown challenges to the state. I see UNMC as being a valuable resource in terms of educating lawmakers about how the various aspects of health care reform will affect Nebraskans.
