The Durham Museum trolley tour is back

Benefits of the Time Travelers partnership

“The Gritty City” tour is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students, and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.

“The Gritty City” trolley tour is back! The Durham Museum is once again offering the tour which highlights downtown Omaha.

The trolley will take visitors through downtown Omaha, pointing out several historic locations, including the former site of Madame Anna Wilson’s home, The Brandeis Building, and the Paxton Hotel, all the while highlighting the impact of noted individuals and events in our city’s sometimes turbulent history.

The tour will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15 and will last approximately one hour. The trolley will be located for pickup outside the Durham Research Center on Durham Research Plaza (formerly 45th street). Seating is limited to 20 people and reservations must be made in advance. All students and staff of UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians may attend.

Please contact Kacie Gerard at kgerard@unmc.edu to reserve your space. A $5 cash payment will be collected at the time of the tour prior to boarding the trolley.
