Over the next several months, Storz Pavilion, Clarkson Cafe and Nebraska Cafe will undergo renovations to the fire suppression systems in the food preparation areas.

Following a recommendation from the State Fire Marshal during last year’s CMS visit, it was determined that the current fire suppression system is out-of-date and needs to be replaced.
The current system in several cases is more than 40 years old.
Construction will take place seven days a week throughout the project.
The upgrade will be completed in phases from May through August. The new system will have a manual pull system in case of fire and will be better lit than it is currently.
Food and Nutrition Services projects no interruptions in providing food to patients in a timely manner and will work to minimize delays.
