Lookin’ at U – Beverly Vaughn

picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Beverly Vaughn, undergraduate program coordinator in the department of surgery.

Beverly Vaughn
Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Beverly:
  • I have a 26 ½ year old daughter. She was born 3 months early weighing 1 lb and 13 ozs and lived in the NICU at The Nebraska Medical Center for two months with hardly any complications.
  • In high school I was a shot putter for three years. I won several medals and I also qualified for the state track meet.
  • I played softball for many years and I was the bat catcher. I later switched to a third base woman. I also hit lots of home runs.
  • I’m the sixth of seven children. I was born on Nov. 1. My mother wanted to take the other five children trick or treating so she asked me to wait another day to be born.
  • I teach children’s church two Sundays a month to children ages 4 to 6 years old.

Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
