Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Theresa Grutel, office assistant II in pharmacology and experimental neuroscience.
Theresa Grutel |
- The joy of my life are my two beautiful daughters, Jalitha 17, who attends Central High School, and Javonna, 13, who attends McMillan Magnet Center.
- I’m from Omaha, born and raised. People often ask me if I’m from the south because they say I have an accent … I don’t think I do.
- My mom and dad separated when I was 9 months old and my dad raised seven children by himself (one boy and six girls, I’m the youngest). I first met my mom when I was 13 but I didn’t have a relationship with her until I was 35 — in 2007. She passed away Aug. 1, 2008.
- We have a cat named Tajj and two dogs — Sable and Max. They all get along great!
- I work on my own vehicles — only my own.
Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
