David Brown, Ph.D., associate dean for academic affairs at the UNMC College of Dentistry, received the Nebraska Rural Health Association’s President’s (NeRHA) Award for his role in outreach and service learning initiatives.
Over the past 10 years, the College of Dentistry has made great strides in serving as a resource for improving the oral health of rural Nebraskans, said Kim Engel, NeRHA president.
“Dr. Brown has been the key player in organizing and managing many of the details of the various programs, which have led to our ability to better serve those communities and he is very deserving of this honor,” Engel said.
