This North-South collaboration is intended to broaden and strengthen the curricula taught across these institutions in global health, as well as, strengthen faculty development and build implementation plans for research, research capacity and community based public health practice. UNMC’s College of Public Health is placing special emphasis on developing partnerships across the globe in order to provide its students and faculty with the highest quality opportunities for learning and service in global health. A thriving global health site in Eldoret (AMPATH) in western Kenya, established by Indiana University, is one of multiple sites available to students and faculty across the collaborative group to participate and expand health care and public health services, education and research activities. |
