Hatch Show Print the focus of Tuesday Durham lecture

During the lecture, which is sponsored by The Durham Museum, Sherraden, manager chief designer and archivist of Hatch Show Print, will discuss the colorful history of this iconic organization.

The lecture is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with valid identification. The partnership also facilitates lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.




Hatch Show Print is one of America’s oldest working letterpress design and poster print shops. From its home in downtown Nashville, Tenn., — Hatch Show Print has designed and printed posters for some of the biggest names in music.

The shop has made an impermeable impact on the world of posters and graphic design since 1879.

A display titled, “American Letterpress: The Art of Hatch Show Print” will open at The Durham Museum on Saturday and run through Jan. 24.

Employees are encouraged to bring their lunch to the Tuesday lecture.
