As of Tuesday morning, UNMC employees had raised $55,551 during the annual campus United Way drive.
That total is about 38 percent of UNMC’s goal of $143,094.
On Tuesday, about 500 employees — or about 14 percent of UNMC’s faculty and staff — had participated in the drive, which started Monday and ends Friday, Oct. 23.
“We’ve made a strong start toward our goal,” said Kacie Gerard, UNMC’s United Way campaign manager. “As always, we want 100 percent participation in the drive and widened participation will go along way toward us reaching our goal.”
