In “Moneyville,” which is the backdrop for this year’s participant’s night at The Durham Museum.
The event will be held Aug. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. as part of the Time Travelers program, a partnership between the medical center and the museum.
“Moneyville” is a highly interactive exhibit that promotes economic literacy.
In this colorful city, visitors will find:
- A bank;
- A store,
- An anti-counterfeiting lab;
- A stock market; and;
- An international port.
Visitors can create “money,” explore anti-counterfeiting measures and see what a million dollars looks like.
Throughout the exhibit, visitors will discover how money is made, spent, earned, and saved, and how it connects people around the world.
A cash bar and appetizers will be available.
The museum is at 801 S. 10th St. Admission is for immediate family only, which includes two adults and dependent children of the same household.
An employee identification badge must be presented for admittance.
