Carmody has been part of the executive team at The Nebraska Medical Center for 15 years and most recently served as executive director of support services.
He will transition to the new role over the next month.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on behalf of employees, physicians, the board of directors, shareholders and the patients Bellevue Medical Center will serve,” Carmody said.
Carmody has earned a reputation among employees, physicians and even vendors as an innovative and inclusive leader, who is dedicated to quality and efficiency but places just as much emphasis on connecting with people.
“We are very excited for Marty. His extensive experience prepares him for the opportunity,” said Glenn Fosdick, president and CEO of The Nebraska Medical Center. “His enthusiasm and an open style of leadership will be an asset as we bring Bellevue Medical Center to fruition.”
