APHA CEO to speak at UNMC this week

John Gans, Pharm.D.

John Gans, Pharm.D., executive vice president and CEO of the American Pharmacists Association, will visit UNMC this week as part of the celebration of 100 years of pharmacy education in Nebraska.

Dr. Gans will give two presentations during his visit to UNMC — the first presentation from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Sorrell Center, Room 3001, and the second on Wednesday at noon in the Sorrell Center, Room 3002.

The first session will be an informal, interactive session where he will answer questions from COP students about his professional life.

The second presentation will be a formal presentation on the future of pharmacy practice. After 20 years of service to APhA, Dr. Gans has announced that he will step down from his position later this year.
