Sponsored programs to host stimulus funding sessions March 26-27

UNMC Sponsored Programs Administration will host a pair of educational sessions for faculty and staff regarding ARRA 2009 stimulus funding on March 26 and 27 in the Durham Research Center Auditorium. The sessions will include information on challenge grants, submission systems and resources.

UNMC principal investigators, administrators or support staff are strongly encouraged to attend the sessions, which are designed to submit and support management of stimulus applications.

David Crouse, Ph.D., associate vice chancellor for academic affairs, will present a session for faculty on Thursday, March 26 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Crystal Miller, assistant director of sponsored programs administration, will present sessions for administrative and support staff from noon to 2 p.m. on both Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27

The presenters will:

  • Highlight new application procedures;
  • Outline regulations and expectations for Challenge applications;
  • Define campus deadlines;
  • Describe SPAdmin extended support;
  • Provide information about other Stimulus funding opportunities; and
  • Feature government concerns related to electronic submissions.
