Women’s History Month celebration features story performer

Leeny Del Seamonds

In celebration of Women’s History Month, story performer Leeny Del Seamonds will present “Stories Alive with Leeny!” on Thursday, March 5 in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater from noon to 1 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the UNMC Human Resources and the Employee Diversity Network.

Free sack lunches will be provided for the first 40 attendees.

With a face and voice that launched a thousand characters, Del Seamonds is a multi award-winning, internationally acclaimed entertainer and teaching artist whose multicultural stories and songs reflect her love of people and desire to embrace life to its fullest.

Her performances encourage listeners to feel positive about themselves and share in her Latin-Cuban American sense of humor and love of performing. With passion, fire and wit, Del Seamonds’ engaging and dynamic one-woman performances headline festivals, concerts and events worldwide.

Soar around the world with multicultural and bilingual Latino tales retold by Del Seamonds that demonstrate passion, resiliency and victories of the human spirit.

As Del Seamonds declares, “¡Vive el cuento! — Live the story!”
