Sure you’re busy. Aren’t we all?
With all the other activities going on in our lives, trying to carve out time to hit the gym, take a run, watch an aerobics tape or attend a yoga class seems like playing a crazy game of Tetris.
But over and over again, you hear stories of amazingly successful — and busy — people who find time for regular exercise. Take, for example, this Washington Post story from December about the fitness regimen of our new president, Barack Obama.
While on the campaign trail, Obama cut out many of his favorite activities but he always made time for rigorous exercise. His friends say the president does his best thinking while in the gym.
Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, also made time for regular bike rides and other forms of exercise while in office.
So, it kind of comes back to willingness, doesn’t it? I mean, if the leader of the free world has time to work out, what excuses do the rest of us have?
