“We invite the campus community to come try out the center,” said Jayme Nekuda, director of the UNMC Employee Benefits and Worklife Programs Division of Human Resources and UNMC’s wellness manager. “We offer a large variety of activities, equipment and classes that can help address almost any fitness and wellness need.”
The center, which is in the Student Life Center, offers free weights, fitness classes, basketball courts, an indoor walking track and several other features at a cost that’s competitive with other local fitness centers.
The center also features a lending library, a meditation room, a ping-pong table, badminton nets and is the campus hub for intramural sports.
