Marco Olivera, M.D.

Marco Olivera, M.D., assistant professor of gastroenterology and hepatology, is one of the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Name: Marco Olivera, M.D.

Title: Assistant professor of gastroenterology and hepatology

Duties: Patient care, clinical research in gastroenterology and hepatology with a focus on liver transplantation.

Degree: M.D., La Salle University, Mexico City

Residencies:

Gastroenterology/gastrointestinal endoscopy, Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán, Mexico City, 1992-1995;
Hepatology/liver transplantation, UNMC, 1996-1998

Previous positions: Medical director, liver transplant program, Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán, Mexico City

Clinic hours: Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.
