Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Paul Kawacz, a producer/director in ITS Video Services.
Here, in his own words, are five fun facts about Paul.
Paul Kawacz |
- I’m originally from western New York (Go Bills!). I don’t miss the snow but I do tend to miss the other seasons there. People would be surprised how beautiful New York State is.
- I have always been in video since starting at KETV in the late 1970s. UNMC was my first venture into the medical side of it. I am fortunate that my job here allows me to see some very fascinating and amazing things. We are definitely well made. Also, I get to meet some very brilliant and high profile people that I otherwise would never have encountered.
- I’ll be married to my bride, Linda, for 27 years this Thanksgiving. Now that is something to be thankful for!
- Our two wonderful kids are in their college years now. One is a rock star and the other is gorgeous. Even though I grew up a Red Sox fan, we raised them as Yankee fans. It would have been child abuse during those years to raise Red Sox fans. And yes, I believe baseball is the greatest game ever played!
- Music has always been an important part of my life. I play guitar in a classic rock band called “Crazy Chester” here in Omaha. None of us golf so we get together and do this instead. My son plays along side of me now, which
is really kind of cool. I never imagined making a guitar player literally from scratch to play with. He keeps us all movin’. Come on out and see us sometime! Click here to see a list of Crazy Chester performances.
