Spending your spring break in service? Tell Sen. Nelson!

U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson wants to hear from Nebraska college students who spend spring break helping others.

Nelson plans a special page on his official Web site to recognize the efforts of Nebraska students who use their spring break to help others.

“More and more these days, students are opting to spend their spring break helping others. … I want to recognize and highlight these efforts.”

Nelson invites Nebraska students to send him their stories of spring break service and philanthropy and he plans to feature those stories and photos on the special page.

“More and more these days, students are opting to spend their spring break helping others,” Nelson said. “While many college students have thought of spring break as a simple break from classes and papers, a growing number of students are opting to help others both in the U.S. and abroad. I want to recognize and highlight these efforts.”

Those wishing to post or read stories and pictures from students are encouraged to visit the Web site at anytime through April 11.
