Experts discuss moving on after tragedy

During a forum for employees and students on Friday, two experts from the National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement discussed community reaction to the Westroads Mall Shooting.

After the forum, the experts — psychologist Robin Gurwitch, Ph.D., and psychiatrist Daniel Nelson, M.D. — sat down with UNMC Today to discuss topics such as common emotional and behavioral responses to such tragedies, what parents can tell their children about such events and how people can move on.
