Dr. Langnas: Transplant patients can lead full lives

A Minnesota girl who was seriously injured in June when a pool drain sucked out her small intestine underwent a multi-organ transplant on Monday at UNMC’s hospital partner, The Nebraska Medical Center.

Alan Langnas, D.O., professor of surgery at UNMC and director of the transplant program at The Nebraska Medical Center, performed 6-year-old Abigail Taylor’s liver, small bowel and pancreas transplants.
