- Jogging (at a 9-minute mile pace) = 3,000 steps
- Biking (10 to 12 miles per hour) = 1,500 steps
- Circuit training = 1,000 steps
- Ice-skating/hockey = 3,000 steps
- Horseback riding = 3,000 steps
- Gardening = 1,000 steps
- Housecleaning = 1,000 steps
- Shopping = 1,000 steps
