Snowmen invade College of Pharmacy

Sometime late Tuesday, 41 snowpeople appeared on the south side of the UNMC College of Pharmacy. The snow figures, each with twig arms, bark eyes and a carrot nose, met with chuckles from UNMC students, faculty and staff.

Third-year pharmacy students Brant Hanisch, Lee Stutzman, Andrew Beckmann and Heidi Goodell created the “Calvin and Hobbes” like-masterpiece, then hauled in 20 sleds of snow to create a footprint-free area around the snow family.

The group returned on Friday to update the scenario, showing the smaller snowmen’s victory over their larger enemy.

The College of Pharmacy has a history of snow designs. In 2004, the college’s custodial staff members dressed up an outdoor trash bin with newly fallen snow. View the 2004 snow cone masterpiece.
