2004 Health Professions Tracking Center directories available

With more than 32 percent of the Nebraska/Western Iowa physician primary practice information changing since 2003, there’s a definite need to buy the 2004 HPTC Directory of Nebraska and Western Iowa Healthcare Resources.

“There’s a lot of information that changes each year. Because of this, people who don’t have a new directory will end up wasting a lot of time and energy trying to update data or searching for accurate information,” said Kolene Kohll, director of the Health Professions Tracking Center, which publishes the directory. “We think that this is a great investment for any office.”

Once again, the directory will feature the locations, fax numbers, phone numbers and UPINs of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists and pharmacists in Nebraska and Western Iowa. The directory also provides the same information on pharmacies, clinics and hospitals in that same region. In addition, Kohll said, the directory will include information on optometrists within Nebraska. Kohll noted that the optometrist information was provided by the Nebraska Optometric Association and was not verified by HPTC.

“To continue to be the top health care professional resource book in the region, we have to continue to look for new ways to serve our clients and the public,” Kohll said. “We think that providing information on optometrists is another positive step for our directory.”

The directories are $65 apiece when purchasing five or fewer; $60 when purchasing between six and 10; and $55 when ordering more than 10. HPTC handling is $4 for the first directory and $1 for each additional directory.

To order, e-mail the HPTC at HPTC@unmc.edu
and provide your department, contact name, telephone number, zip, number of directories you wish to order, and your cost center number. If you would like more information, contact the HPTC at (402) 559-2901.
