The pin, which symbolizes the student’s dedication to the highest principles of respect, competency, service and integrity, was the high point of the division’s annual pinning ceremony.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to focus on professionalism,” said James Temme, associate director of the RSTE division. “The ceremony also provides a formal introduction to the field of radiation sciences and is a milestone in their educational pursuit.”
More than 200 people attended the Sept. 12 event in the Storz Pavilion.

The RSTE division includes the following programs: diagnostic medical sonography; nuclear medicine; radiography; radiation therapy; CT/MRI; and cardiovascular interventional technology.
