Dentistry students, dean phone donors to thank them

Eight students and the dean of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry phoned donors recently to thank them for their support in the prior school year.

The college’s annual Thankathon took place at the University of Nebraska Foundation offices in Lincoln June 7. Using a bank of phones, the students and John W. Reinhardt, D.D.S., phoned donors to personally thank them for their charitable support. The donors were pleasantly surprised to hear from the direct beneficiaries of their charitable support.

The Thankathon reinforces the personal nature of philanthropy from the donors – gifts that create scholarships, that modernize the clinics the students learn in, or create the research initiatives undertaken by the college.
