This summer the museum is bringing to Omaha the blockbuster Impressionist exhibition Millet to Matisse, featuring such world-renowned artists as Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Cezanne and Van Gogh. Joslyn is one of only six museums in the United States to host this rare show and the only Midwest venue. This exhibition will have a separate, higher, ticket price, but Joslyn members will be able to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for free.

In addition the museum has plenty for families to do together including a special gallery where kids and adults can learn more about how to look at a painting, an “exploration station” where they can make and take home an art project and a computer center for high-tech fun.

Members receive free admission anytime Joslyn is open; discounts in the shop, café, as well as classes, lectures, music programs and events; invitations to members only exhibition opening lectures and receptions; kid-friendly fun for kids of all ages to experience the excitement of art with Family Fun Days, EdTech Gallery, Art Packs, Exploration Station and the Mind’s Eye Gallery.

Every UNMC and UMA employee, volunteer and student will receive an application via campus mail. To join, complete the application and mail to Esther Collins at ZIP 5060. If you have any questions or need an application, contact Esther at 559-5201.
