Due to inclement weather in the Washington, D.C., area, the president and CEO of the Association of Academic Health Centers (AHC) will not visit UNMC today and Friday, as planned. The visit of Roger J. Bulger, M.D., is being rescheduled for early 2003.
Dr. Bulger joined the AHC in 1988. Before that, he was president of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for 10 years and, prior to that, served as chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical Center at Worcester and dean of its medical school for three years.
“Having a leader of Dr. Bulger’s stature coming to UNMC is significant for this campus, in that it gives us a chance to show off our centers of excellence to a key national figure in academic medicine. We look forward to his visit,” UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., said.
