UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., Mike Sitorius, M.D., chair of the UNMC department of family medicine, and Bob Bartee, executive assistant to the chancellor, traveled to Wahoo and David City Tuesday.
The group visited with hospital administrators in David City and toured the health facility where 21 of the practicing health providers, including Mark Carlson, M.D., (see photo) are UNMC alumni. Dr. Carlson is a physician at the Butler County Health Care Center clinic.
Dr. Maurer also gave an update on UNMC during a luncheon in David City.
