Dr. Mark Driscoll joins the College of Dentistry

Dr. Mark Driscoll

Dr. Driscoll is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Adult Restorative Dentistry. He brings a wealth of practical experience that he is eager to share with future generations of dentists.

Dr. Driscoll received his DDS from the UNMC College of Dentistry in 1988. After graduating, he joined the United States Army and completed a one-year general practice residency at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. From there, he was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, at the 97th General Hospital. His duties included maintaining the oral health of the hospital staff and working alongside the unit’s oral surgeons.

During his assignment in Frankfurt, his unit was deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. For his contributions during Desert Storm, he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service.

Upon completing his service obligation, Dr. Driscoll purchased a practice in Hastings, Nebraska, where he and his wife spent 32 years serving the community and raising their seven children.
